Military exercises with the participation of military experts from Azerbaijan and Italy were held in Baku

In accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan signed between the ministries of defense of Azerbaijan and Italy, a training session on civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) was held with the participation of military experts from both countries, as well as servicemembers from the main directorates, departments of the Ministry of Defense, and branches of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

During the training, organized at the Media and Public Relations Department of the Main Directorate for Personnel, participants were provided with detailed information on the role and significance of civil-military cooperation (CIMIC) in the process of planning and conducting military operations, organizing interaction with the civilian population and relevant structures, as well as on issues related to civilian infrastructure.

During the training, Italian military experts delivered a comprehensive presentation on the fundamental principles of civil-military cooperation, its implementation mechanisms, and international experience. Training groups completed practical assignments. Issues of studying and exchanging best practices in this field, as well as prospects for developing cooperation, were discussed.
