How will the situation change after the death of Ali Larijani?
Donald Trump's problem is that he doesn't understand: the Iranian people are brave, strong, and determined. The greater the pressure, the stronger Iran becomes.
As reported by Baku TV, Ali Larijani spoke these words on March 13 while standing among a crowd on the street.
This situation raised questions: how could one of the country's top leaders, whose airspace is open to military aircraft and drones, move freely without an adequate level of security? To the public, this might have appeared as a display of closeness to the people, but this was not an ordinary person — rather a figure whose protection holds strategic significance, especially under conditions of external pressure.
Ali Larijani was a highly educated statesman with many years of governance experience. He earned his master's and doctoral degrees in Western philosophy from the University of Tehran, and also had a background in mathematics. He served in parliament, was involved in security matters for an extended period, and from August 2025 held the position of Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council. Despite his harsh rhetoric, he was often characterized as a pragmatic politician inclined toward compromise within the Iranian system. Larijani was frequently called a "pillar of Iranian power."
Also noteworthy was a statement he made earlier: "The US is mistaken in believing that eliminating leaders will lead to chaos in Iran."
Against this backdrop, a logical question arises: will the deaths of several key figures lead to the destabilization of the country's governance system, or will it remain resilient?
