Erdogan departed for a visit to Azerbaijan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan departed for a visit to the city of Lachin on the occasion of May 28 - Azerbaijan's Independence Day.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Haber Global, the head of state was seen off at Esenboga Airport by Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz, Head of the Presidential Administration Hakki Susmaz, and Ankara Governor Vasip Sahin.
The visit includes a planned meeting between Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, during which they are expected to exchange views on relations between the two countries, as well as current regional and global events.
Additionally, Erdogan, along with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and President Ilham Aliyev, will participate in the opening ceremony of Lachin International Airport and a cultural event dedicated to Azerbaijan's Independence Day.
