Emmanuel Macron called President Ilham Aliyev

On March 8, President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron called President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

As reported by BAKU.WS, the President of France expressed his country's solidarity with Azerbaijan and its support in connection with Iran's aerial attack on Azerbaijan.

Emmanuel Macron also thanked the head of our state for the conditions created for the evacuation of French citizens in Iran through Azerbaijan.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for the phone call and the solidarity shown.

During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views took place on strengthening peace in the South Caucasus region and the renewal of Azerbaijani-French bilateral relations, and issues related to cooperation prospects were discussed.
