Staff of the diplomatic corps of Germany and Spain were evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan through the "Astara" state border crossing point.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, 13 German and 6 Spanish diplomats were evacuated, as well as 3 citizens of Azerbaijan and 1 citizen of Bangladesh.

The evacuation process was carried out with appropriate document verification, registration, and other necessary procedures, while all necessary measures were taken at the border crossing point to ensure safe passage.

After the completion of registration procedures, they were safely directed to their destinations.

As previously reported, from 18:00 to 21:00 on March 7, 76 people were evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan.

Specifically, the Ambassador of Austria and eight staff members of the diplomatic missions of the USA, Japan, Pakistan, and Austria operating in Iran were evacuated through the "Astara" state border crossing point.

In addition, three citizens of Azerbaijan, 11 citizens of Japan, 5 citizens of Uzbekistan, 2 citizens of Nigeria, and 42 citizens of China were evacuated from Iran to Azerbaijan.
