The next episode of the "Chronicle of Western Azerbaijan" project in Russian language aired on Baku TV.

The guest of the host Ellada Sarvan was Fikret Jafarov, Doctor of Biological Sciences and ecologist.

He stated that Azerbaijan plans to supply electricity generated from renewable sources to the world market, produce and export hydrogen, listed the work done to implement decisions made in Azerbaijan after COP29, and analyzed the condition of Western Azerbaijan lands and its agricultural sector.

"Azerbaijan has high potential for wind and solar energy. The area of green spaces in Baku has increased 10 times over 25 years. In Armenia, 70% of agricultural production was provided by the Azerbaijani population. 82% of agricultural lands in Armenia are degraded," said the ecologist.

He emphasized that mining in Armenia is carried out by predatory methods. "The consequences caused by contaminated waters from molybdenum-copper deposits flowing into the Geycha and Araz rivers are enormous," said the scientist.

F. Jafarov noted that today the issue of Western Azerbaijan is relevant, and the return of natives of these lands to their homeland is their natural right. According to him, by expelling Azerbaijanis, Armenians created a labor shortage in agriculture.
