Azerbaijan and Turkey continue joint exercises TurAz Qartalı - 2026

As part of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the joint flight-tactical exercises TurAz Qartalı - 2026 continue.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense.

It was noted that in accordance with the exercise plan, interaction tasks across various scenarios are being carried out. Using a Sikorsky S-70 helicopter belonging to the Turkish Air Force, electronic warfare operations were conducted and ground-based electronic warfare assets of the simulated enemy were suppressed.

At the same time, using an Mi-17 helicopter belonging to the Azerbaijan Air Force, tasks involving the detection and destruction of simulated targets were successfully completed.

The main objective of the exercises is to coordinate joint operations between the Air Forces of the brotherly countries, enhance the professionalism of personnel, and expand mutual exchange of experience.
