Ali Huseynli: The liquidation of the Minsk Group clearly shows that the need for mediators has disappeared

The main reason for the official non-signing of the peace treaty is the territorial claims against Azerbaijan, enshrined in the constitution of Armenia. After this issue is resolved, the agreement will be signed.

This was stated by the chairman of the Committee on Legal Policy and State Building of the Milli Mejlis, Ali Huseynli, at a special meeting on the topic "Washington Agreements: The Triumph of Peace Diplomacy and Wise Leadership," held within the framework of an extraordinary session of parliament.

According to the deputy, after the Washington agreement, the meetings and actions of the leaders of both countries indicate a peaceful agenda, and the elimination of the OSCE Minsk Group clearly shows that the need for mediators has disappeared.
