On May 7, at the Gulustan Palace in Baku, a state reception was given on behalf of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva in honor of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam and his wife Ngo Phuong Ly.
