1 million manats allocated for the Yüksəliş competition

President Ilham Aliyev signed an order on measures for holding the next Yüksəliş ("Ascent") competition in 2026 and amending the Presidential Order "On establishing the 'Ascent' competition" dated July 26, 2019.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to AZERTAG, the document states:

"Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I decree:

1. To allocate 1,000,000 (one million) manats to the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan from the reserve fund of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan provided for in the state budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025, for the implementation of current work related to holding the next "Ascent" competition in 2026.

2. The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan shall ensure the financing provided for in part 1 of this Order.

3. The Organizing Committee, established by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On establishing the 'Ascent' competition" dated July 26, 2019, number 1354, shall resolve issues arising from this Order.

4. In part 2 of the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On establishing the 'Ascent' competition" dated July 26, 2019, number 1354 (Collection of Legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 2019, number 7, article 1293 (Volume I), replace the words "labor and social protection of the population" with the word "finance," and the words "Board of Directors" with the word "Board".
