Hail fell in Kalbajar

The actual weather conditions across Azerbaijan as of 11:00 on August 21 have been released.

As reported to BAKU.WS by the National Hydrometeorological Service, from the second half of the day on August 20, thunderstorms occurred in some districts, with heavy downpours in certain areas.

The amount of precipitation recorded was: in Shahdag - 18 mm, Gadabay - 17 mm, Dashkasan - 15 mm, Gusar - 10 mm, Ismayilli - 6 mm, Goygol - 5 mm, Khinalig (Guba) - 4 mm, Agdam and Gabala - 3 mm, Gakh - 2 mm, Goranboy, Ganja, Naftalan, Khaltan, Tovuz, Zagatala, Tartar, Barda, Yevlakh, Kalbajar, Lachin, Gubadli, Shusha, Khankendi, Khojaly and Fuzuli - up to 1 mm.

On August 20, from approximately 20:25 to 20:33, hail with a diameter of 8–10 mm fell in Alagollar in the Istisu settlement of the Kalbajar district.

A northwesterly wind is blowing. The maximum wind speed reached 21 m/s in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, 19 m/s in Julfa, 18 m/s in Ganja, 16 m/s in Shamkir, Shabran and Naftalan.
