During the 12-day war with Israel, Tehran had no choice but to respond to the attack.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel "Free Iran," this was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the IRI Abbas Araghchi, speaking at Buali Sina University in Hamadan.

"If the attacking side had achieved results, it would have created a dangerous situation in the future. Iran had to prove that a military attack on the country would not bring any success," added the head of the Iranian foreign ministry.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that deterrence should not be limited to the military sphere - it should also include social, economic, and diplomatic power.

He also noted that during the war, the people of Iran showed unity and solidarity in the face of the enemy.
