SOCAR Polymer increased export revenue by almost 18% in two months
SOCAR Polymer LLC exported polymer products worth $35.7 million in January-February 2026.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this is stated in the March issue of the "Export Review" by the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms.
Compared to the same period last year, revenue increased by $5.4 million, or by 17.8%.
It should be recalled that the total export volume of Azerbaijan's non-oil and gas sector over the two months grew by 19.7%, reaching $580.1 million.
SOCAR Polymer LLC was founded on July 16, 2013, as part of the program to accelerate the development of Azerbaijan's chemical industry. The company's production facilities consist of a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) plant and a polypropylene (PP) plant, located on the territory of the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP). The production capacity of these plants, which were commissioned in 2018 and 2019, is 184 thousand tons of polypropylene and 120 thousand tons of high-density polyethylene per year. The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan holds a 57% stake in SOCAR Polymer.
