SOCAR has published its financial report for last year
The revenue of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) at the end of 2025 was recorded at 86.3 billion manats, with gross profit amounting to 12.6 billion manats.
This was reported in SOCAR's report.
It is noted that throughout the past year, the global energy market was influenced by geopolitical instability, escalating energy security concerns, and growing natural gas consumption. SOCAR, following its approved strategic guidelines, continued to expand its portfolio of foreign assets, strengthen its position in the energy supply chain, and ensured stable operations through improved operational efficiency and cost control.
According to the data, in 2025 the company implemented a number of investment and commercial projects of strategic importance. The list included: the formalization of an 80% stake in the "Bahar" and "Gum-Deniz" fields, the acquisition of a 10% effective stake in the "Tamar" gas field in the Israeli sector of the Mediterranean Sea, the launch of new petrochemical and energy facilities in Turkey, investments in digital infrastructure and petrochemicals, as well as the expansion of gas exports and international cooperation.
Operating profit increased by 80% compared to the previous period, reaching 5.2 billion manats, while net profit amounted to approximately 3 billion manats. The company's EBITDA at the end of 2025 totaled 10.9 billion manats, which is 26% higher than the 2024 level. The main volume of revenue was generated from the sale of oil, petroleum products, chemical products, and natural gas.
SOCAR indicated that the growth in operating profit was also reflected in cash flow indicators: the increase in cash from operating activities amounted to 136%.
It was also reported that the State Oil Company, being a strategic energy enterprise of the country, simultaneously holds the first place among the largest contributors to the state budget and the largest employers in Azerbaijan.
At the end of 2025, the company transferred 3.8 billion manats to the state in the form of dividends, mandatory contributions, and taxes, and also allocated funds for social needs. Over the period of 2021-2025, the cumulative volume of these payments exceeded 15.9 billion manats. At the same time, the volume of state investments in SOCAR over the same period amounted to 1.6 billion manats.
Meanwhile, the international audit firm Ernst & Young Holdings (CIS) B.V. issued an unmodified (unqualified positive) opinion on SOCAR's consolidated financial statements as of December 31, 2025.
