SOCAR and IMF discussed the future of Azerbaijan's energy sector

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) held negotiations with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The meeting also discussed the issue of infrastructure in the field of renewable energy and gas exports.
As reported by SOCAR's press service, this issue was discussed at a meeting with the IMF delegation headed by the mission chief for Azerbaijan Anna Bordon.
"The parties exchanged views on current trends in the oil and gas sector, production forecasts, investment activity, and energy transition issues. The prospects for developing infrastructure for gas exports and the use of renewable energy sources were also discussed," SOCAR emphasized.
