Salaries of a number of employees will be raised in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan plans to raise the salaries of some library workers.

As reported by modern.az, this was announced by Vasif Gurbanzade, head of a department at the Ministry of Culture.

According to him, after the optimization of the library system is completed, salaries will be raised for employees who successfully pass the certification process.

He noted that the goal of the ongoing changes is to bring library operations in line with modern requirements, make books more accessible to readers, improve the quality of services, and expand library collections.

In addition, the Ministry of Culture intends to pay special attention to improving the qualifications of library workers. Special courses are planned for employees who successfully pass the certification, and after the optimization is completed, their salaries are to be increased.

V. Gurbanzade also reported that the decision to conduct certification for the remaining employees of the library system has not yet been made. At this stage, approximately 1,100 specialists working in the field of information technology are undergoing it.
