Road tax on fuel to be sharply increased in Azerbaijan
In Azerbaijan, from next year, the amount of road tax levied on automobile gasoline, diesel fuel, and liquefied gas will significantly increase.
As reported by Oxu.Az, this is provided for in the draft amendments to the Tax Code submitted to the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan.
According to the changes, the road tax, which is currently 2 qapiks per liter, will be increased to 7 qapiks, which means a 3.5-fold increase.
The relevant Executive authority body will determine how the collected road tax will be distributed among budget funds and for what purposes within the state budget.
