Official proposals for increasing benefits and pensions will be presented this week.

As reported by BAKU.WS, MP Vugar Bayramov wrote about this on social media.

He noted that in accordance with the instruction of President Ilham Aliyev, the Cabinet of Ministers is completing the preparation of proposals for increasing benefits and pensions.

"Considering that the presidential decree 'On continuing measures to improve the social welfare of the population' was signed on December 23, 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers was instructed to develop and submit relevant proposals within three months, it is expected that official proposals for increasing social benefits and pensions will be presented this week," the MP wrote.

V. Bayramov also reminded that in January of this year, the average monthly salary in Azerbaijan increased by 12.8% - to 1,062.9 manats.

"This year, the social package will cover more than 3 million citizens, and more than 1.5 billion manats of additional funds are planned to be allocated for these purposes. This means that the social package will not be limited to increasing salaries and pensions," he added.
