Customs duties on the import of this product have been changed in Azerbaijan

Amendments have been made to the "Commodity Nomenclature of Foreign Economic Activity, Import Customs Duty Rates and Export Customs Duty Rates of the Republic of Azerbaijan."

The corresponding resolution was signed by Prime Minister Ali Asadov.

According to the document, a customs duty of 15% will be applied to the import of a number of types of wine products until December 31, 2030. At the same time, the duty shall be no less than 3 US dollars per 1 liter.

For certain types of wine with an actual alcohol concentration of 18% or less, the rate is also set at 15%, but no less than 2 US dollars per 1 liter.

In addition, for the import of certain types of wine products that are currently not subject to customs duties, a 15% duty will also be levied until December 31, 2030, but no less than 3 US dollars per 1 liter.

The resolution also provides for changes regarding concentrated wines. For these products, the rate until the specified date will also be 15%, but no less than 3 US dollars per 1 liter.

It should be noted that the changes also affected customs duties on cognac, whiskey, rum, gin, juniper liqueur, and vodka.

Thus, until December 31, 2030, the import customs duty rate on these types of alcoholic products will be set at 15%, but no less than 4 US dollars per 1 liter.

The resolution will take effect in 90 days.
