Credit investments in the economy of Azerbaijan in 2025 increased by 9%
Credit investments in Azerbaijan's economy as of January 1, 2026, are estimated at 31 billion 946.7 million manats.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), this is 9.1% more than the figure at the beginning of last year.
Compared to the figure on December 1, 2025, credit investments increased by 1.6%.
Private banks accounted for 22 billion 195.7 million manats or 69.5% of all loans (+9.2% compared to the end of 2024), state banks - 7 billion 867.3 million manats (+10%). The share of state banks in the total loan portfolio for 2025 increased from 24.4% to 24.6%.
The loan portfolio of non-bank credit organizations as of January 1, 2026, is estimated at 1 billion 883.7 million manats (+4%). At the same time, their share in the total volume of credit investments in the economy decreased from 6.2% to 5.9%.
There are 22 banks operating in Azerbaijan, of which 2 have state capital. At the beginning of this year, 54 NBCOs have a license to operate in Azerbaijan.
