ATTENTION citizens: new rules are being introduced for AI-92 gasoline and diesel fuel

Azerbaijan plans to introduce a fuel marking and tracking mechanism.
As reported by Oxu.Az, the corresponding proposal is contained in a draft of amendments to the Tax Code.
According to the draft, in order to control the taxation and turnover of fuel at all stages — from supply and transportation to sale — it is proposed to implement a mechanism for its marking and tracking in accordance with international practice. It will apply to both domestically produced fuel and imported products.
It is expected that the Cabinet of Ministers will determine the list of goods subject to chemical marking that are produced domestically or imported, the rules for their circulation within Azerbaijan, as well as the procedure for applying chemical marking, its implementation, and record-keeping.
According to the proposed rules, AI-92 grade gasoline and diesel fuel will be subject to chemical marking.
