The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is ready to support projects for the development of the Middle Corridor and apply its experience in issuing green bonds.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Report, this was stated by Director of the Regional Cooperation and Integration Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Chong Woo Kang at a panel discussion within the framework of the 51st Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku.

According to him, it is necessary to determine what results both transport infrastructure projects and the development of regulatory and digital connectivity between countries can deliver.

"Key performance indicators must be defined in advance, and every step must be measured based on established criteria. This way we can assess progress, understand what else needs to be done, and determine what external financing to attract," said Chong Woo Kang.

He noted that the bank has accumulated extensive experience in issuing green and sustainable bonds and is ready to apply it to the Middle Corridor as well.
