US Dollar Index Updates to Nearly Four-Year Low
The US Dollar Index, reflecting the dynamics of the American currency against major world currencies, fell below 96.2 points on the London ICE exchange.
As Report informs, this happened for the first time since February 23, 2022, according to trading data.
As of 20:38 Baku time, the American currency index was down 0.91% - to 96.175 points. By 21:08, the index slowed its decline and was at 96.229 points (-0.85%).
The US Dollar Index shows the relationship of the American currency to a basket of six foreign currencies: euro, yen, pound sterling, Canadian dollar, Swedish krona and Swiss franc. The higher the index, the stronger the dollar is relative to these currencies.
