Trump stated that all candidates for the post of Iran's supreme leader have been killed as a result of airstrikes
US President Donald Trump stated that Iran may face difficulties in choosing its next supreme leader.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to ABC News, according to Trump, the US strikes were so effective that they "eliminated most of the candidates."
"The attack was so successful that we finished off most of the candidates. It won't be anyone we were thinking of, because they're all dead," the American leader stated in a comment to the TV channel.
It should be recalled that Iranian authorities officially confirmed the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on March 1. It is noted that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed on February 28 at his workplace in his residence as a result of a joint US and Israeli attack.
