Trump gave an unexpected promise regarding Putin
Former US President Donald Trump stated that he is the one capable of stopping Russian leader Vladimir Putin. He made this statement in an interview with Outkick portal journalist Clay Travis aboard the presidential plane.
"I don't think there's anyone in the world who can stop Putin except me. And I'm confident that I can do it," Trump emphasized. He also noted that during his presidency, he and Putin had "rational discussions" and expressed a desire to end the bloodshed.
Trump expressed surprise that despite the tough rhetoric toward Russia, there were no serious confrontations between Moscow and Washington. He emphasized that during his presidential term, Russia "didn't invade anywhere," unlike during the periods of his predecessors' rule.
Recalling past events, Trump pointed out that the Russian-Georgian conflict in 2008 occurred under George W. Bush, the annexation of Crimea in 2014 - under Barack Obama, and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began during Joe Biden's presidency.
