Trump addressed the Federal Reserve with an important appeal regarding the dollar

Former US President Donald Trump stated that now is the most appropriate time for the US Federal Reserve System (FRS) to lower interest rates. He announced this in his post on the social network Truth Social, reports BAKU.WS with reference to TASS.
"Now is the perfect time for Jerome Powell, the Fed Chairman, to lower rates. He often acts with delay, but now he has a chance to quickly change his perception," Trump noted.
According to him, the country is experiencing a decrease in energy prices and inflation, while the number of jobs is growing.
"Lower the rates, Jerome, and stop playing political games," Trump added.
Recall that on March 19, the Fed kept the base interest rate at 4.25-4.5%. Trump, commenting on this decision, again called for a rate cut, especially in the context of new import duties.
On April 2, he announced the introduction of customs tariffs on goods from 185 countries and territories. Universal duties of 10% will come into effect on April 5, and individual duties on April 9. Also, 25% duties on all car imports will begin to apply from April 3. Due to the economic situation, Trump declared a state of emergency in the country.
