Speaker of Iran's parliament accused the US of violating the terms of the memorandum
The Speaker of the Iranian Majlis (parliament) Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused the US of serious violations of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.
He wrote about this on his page on the social network X.
The key violations included the disruption of Iranian vessels' passage through the Strait of Hormuz, constant threats of resuming military strikes, the reimposition of oil sanctions, the continuation of Israel's aggression against Lebanon, and strikes on southern Iran.
Ghalibaf added that "the era of intimidation and extortion is over" and that attempts to blackmail the republic will lead to nothing.
Earlier, the US Central Command reported delivering a series of powerful strikes against Iran in response to alleged attacks by the Islamic Republic against three vessels in the Strait of Hormuz.
