Famous Soviet and Russian TV presenter Nikolai Drozdov has faced serious consequences of osteoporosis - his height has decreased by a whole 10 centimeters. This information was shared by the Telegram channel Mash.

According to the source, the cause of such a significant change in physical parameters was osteoporosis, diagnosed in the TV presenter in 2020. This disease is characterized by a critical decrease in calcium content in bone tissue and its gradual degradation. As a result, the skeleton loses strength, which leads to painful sensations in the joints, deformation of the spine, as well as a decrease in height and weight.

Earlier, doctors discovered progressive glaucoma in the famous naturalist and host of the program "In the World of Animals" - a disease that can lead to complete loss of vision. It is worth noting that more than ten years ago, Drozdov already underwent surgical intervention for cataracts, during which specialists removed the natural lenses of the eyes and replaced them with implants.

At the beginning of 2023, on January 29, the TV presenter experienced another ordeal - he was hospitalized with multiple fractures. The accident occurred when Nikolai Nikolaevich was returning from work and fell on the street, receiving serious injuries - eight broken ribs.
