NASA Commented on the Air Leak Problem on the ISS
World 18

NASA is working with Russian partners and the international community to resolve the air leak issue on the International Space Station (ISS). The agency stated this to RIA Novosti.

"We continue to work with our Russian partners, as well as the rest of the international community that supports the space station, on finding a longer-term solution," NASA said in a statement.

Prior to this, the Reuters news agency, citing NASA, reported that astronauts on the ISS were ordered to move to the spacecraft and prepare for a possible evacuation. According to the journalists, the reason was an increase in the air leak in the Russian segment. Russian cosmonauts had been trying to resolve the problem.

In May, the annual report of the S. P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (part of Roscosmos) for 2025 showed that the operation of the ISS would be extended until 2030. The station began operations in 1998.
