Media: Trump may change his attitude towards Putin because of Zelensky

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky believes that he has allegedly managed to change the opinion of the President of the United States of America Donald Trump about his Russian colleague Vladimir Putin. Donald Trump did not rule out that he might change his approach to Vladimir Putin.

The article notes that Vladimir Zelensky's advisers were divided on whether he should risk a personal meeting with Donald Trump at all after an unsuccessful conversation in the Oval Office. However, according to the publication, after this meeting, Zelensky felt that for the first time he had managed to influence Trump's attitude toward Putin.

It is also reported that before the funeral of Pope Francis, Zelensky received signals that Trump was ready to hold an informal meeting with him.

During this conversation, according to sources, Zelensky told Donald Trump that Vladimir Putin would not make any concessions unless greater pressure was exerted on him by the United States of America.

One source reported that Trump, in response, admitted the possibility of changing his position regarding Putin.

Earlier, the same publication Axios wrote that during a meeting with Vladimir Zelensky in Rome, Donald Trump made it clear that he does not intend to abandon the recognition of Crimea as part of the Russian Federation.
