Media: Iran's Assembly of Experts has elected a new supreme leader of the country

Iran's Assembly of Experts has elected Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ali Khamenei, as the next supreme leader of the Islamic Republic.

As reported by BAKU.WS, this claim was made by the outlet Iran International.

It is noted that the elections allegedly took place "under pressure from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps."

Earlier, the Fars agency reported that the election of a new supreme leader of Iran to replace Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed as a result of US and Israeli strikes, could take place after March 6.
