Media: Iran threatened to "plunge into darkness" the entire Middle East

Tehran, through Qatar, conveyed a message to the US and Middle Eastern countries in which it promised that "the entire region and Saudi Arabia will be plunged into complete darkness as a result of Iran's retaliatory strikes."

This is reported by Reuters, citing a high-ranking Iranian source.

According to the agency's interlocutor, Iran will not open the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for "empty promises" from the US. Moreover, if "the situation spirals out of control, Iran's allies will close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait."
