Jennifer Lopez refused to perform a concert in Russia even for $1 million - THE REASON

American singer Jennifer Lopez has canceled plans to perform in Russia, despite agreements reached with organizers.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the Telegram channel Mash, the reason for this decision was the singer's concerns about facing criticism from the West.

The parties had already agreed on a concert date in August and a fee of at least 1 million dollars. However, Lopez's team took a pause to think it over, after which they returned with a refusal. The publication states that the singer is not ready for such a step due to "reputational risks" associated with the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

It is noted that Lopez does not rule out the possibility of performing in Russia in the future - after the conflict ends. According to Mash, the concert agency PMI was negotiating with the artist. Its director Evgeny Finkelstein refrained from commenting.
