Incident on the Moscow - Nakhchivan flight: a female passenger nearly opened the airplane door at an altitude of 11,000 m

At an altitude of 11,000 m, a passenger mistook the airplane door for the entrance to the restroom and tried to open it.

This was reported by the Telegram channel Baza.

"It all happened on board a Utair airline plane flying from Moscow to Nakhchivan. During the flight over the Caspian Sea, one of the passengers suddenly began opening the service door of the aircraft. The onboard alarm was triggered," the publication stated.

Flight attendants stopped the woman before the cabin depressurized. It was later revealed that the passenger had been looking for the restroom and mistook the door.

The plane did not reach its destination. Weather conditions prevented the aircraft from landing in Nakhchivan. The airliner was redirected to the airfield in Ganja.
