The competition began with a minute of silence in honor of the club's former footballer Petko Ganchev, who was erroneously announced as deceased.

Ganchev learned about his "death" from his wife. His wife was watching the match on television, and the news shocked her.

The "Arda" club apologized to Ganchev before the end of the match.
