Drug lord "Don Vito" Abdullah Alp Üstün detained in UAE and extradited to Turkey

As a result of a successful joint operation by Turkey's Ministry of Internal Affairs and law enforcement agencies of the United Arab Emirates, one of the most notorious drug lords, Abdullah Alp Ustun, nicknamed "Don Vito," was detained and extradited to Turkey. His chief financier, Hasan Lala, was also arrested along with him.
As reported by BAKU.WS, citing a statement by Turkey's Minister of Internal Affairs Ali Yerlikaya on social media, which was transmitted by Haber Global TV channel, the detainees were extradited to Turkey on the morning of October 11. The minister emphasized the effectiveness of international cooperation in combating transnational crime. It has been established that Abdullah Alp Ustun headed a major organized criminal group called CHROOKE, while Hasan Lala was responsible for all financial operations of this structure, ensuring its activities.
Both individuals were on Interpol's international wanted list, which testifies to the scale of their criminal activities and the seriousness of the charges brought against them. The detention of "Don Vito" and his key associate in the UAE, followed by their prompt extradition, demonstrates the strengthening of cooperation between countries in suppressing the activities of major drug cartels and organized crime syndicates with global connections. This success is an important step in ensuring security and fighting drug trafficking in the region and beyond.
