Apple and Google turned out to be sponsors of the construction of a ballroom in the White House
Apple Corporation has joined the list of technology companies that will finance the construction of a ballroom with an area of over 8,000 square meters for US President Donald Trump. Construction work began this week, during which the east wing of the White House was demolished. This is reported by MacRumors, citing CNN data.
Trump himself claims that the project will cost $350 million and will be financed exclusively through private donations. Initially, the president announced the investment volume for the project at $150 million.
In addition to Apple, donations for the construction of the ballroom were also made by other major technology giants, including Amazon, Google, Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in Russia), Microsoft, and HP. At the moment, information about the specific amount that Apple has allocated for the implementation of this project has not been disclosed.
