Angelina Jolie spoke in detail about how difficult her divorce from Brad Pitt was for her. The Hollywood actress revealed details in a new lawsuit related to the ongoing dispute between the former spouses over a French estate. Brad Pitt, in turn, demanded access to personal correspondence related to the conflict over the château.

In court documents obtained by PageSix, Jolie notes: "The events that led to the need to end the relationship with my former husband became an emotional shock for both me and our children. When filing for divorce, I left him with full right of residence and control over our homes in Los Angeles and France, without demanding any compensation. I hoped this would allow him to be calmer toward me after a difficult and traumatic period."

The star of the film "Maria" emphasized that neither she nor the children plan to return to the Miraval estate anymore due to "painful memories that led to the breakup." After the separation, she immediately began looking for a new home for herself and the children.

Pitt accuses Jolie of selling her share in the winery without his knowledge. However, the actress insists that her actions did not require his consent.

"I was also deeply concerned about our children's health, so for two years I put my career on hold to focus on their well-being and recovery," the actress's statement says. She also recalled that this estate was their first significant joint acquisition: it was there that their wedding took place, she spent part of her pregnancy and returned from the maternity hospital with two children. "Suddenly leaving this home and the memories associated with it was very difficult, especially for the children, whose lives were disrupted," Jolie added. In the lawsuit, she also demands $33 thousand from Pitt to cover legal expenses.
