An earthquake has occurred in another country

A significant earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 occurred on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, as reported by Reuters news agency.

According to data provided by the German Research Centre for Geosciences, the epicenter of the underground tremors was located at a relatively shallow depth - only about 20 kilometers below the earth's surface.

At the current moment, official sources do not report any casualties as a result of the natural disaster. Authorities have also not issued warnings about a possible tsunami threat for coastal areas.
