A very large flare occurred on the Sun
A powerful X-class solar flare has been recorded on the Sun.
As reported by BAKU.WS, this was announced by RIA Novosti, citing Sergey Bogachev, head of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to Bogachev, the flare is classified as very large - its current rating reaches X4.0. This is the fourth flare of similar magnitude this month. Previously, X-class flares were observed on November 9, 10, and 11, with the strongest one rated as X5.1.
It is specified that due to the series of powerful flares, the Earth has been hit by the strongest magnetic storm of the year.
