The country's Main Meteorological Administration reported on January 6 that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 occurred in the Japanese prefecture of Shimane. The epicenter of the tremors was at a depth of 10 km, there is no threat of a tsunami. In the epicenter area, the strength of the underground tremors reached 5+ on Japan's seven-point scale.
