Earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 occurred in northeastern Japan.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to the data from the national meteorological agency of the country, the epicenter was located east of Iwate Prefecture, at a depth of 10 km.
A tsunami threat was temporarily declared for the northeastern coast of Japan, but a few minutes after the underground tremor, the warning was lifted.
