Survival after cancer will increase 4 times
In 50 years, cancer treatment survival rates will increase fourfold. This was stated by the leading physician of the UK National Health Service, Professor Stephen Powis, in an interview with the Telegraph.
According to him, lung cancer will become "much rarer" due to vaccines that have shown effectiveness in clinical trials.
"As well as tests that allow identification of the genetic profile of lung and breast cancer tumors, which enables patients to quickly receive individualized treatment plans," he added.
The professor noted that in recent years, advances in immunotherapy, drug treatment, and early detection have made it possible to significantly increase the life expectancy of patients while maintaining its quality.
