Russian stylist named spring 2025 trends

Spring 2025 promises to become a true celebration of femininity, flowers, and elegant silhouettes, said personal stylist Maria Buynetskaya in an interview with "Lenta.ru".

According to the expert, the upcoming season is completely dedicated to romance and sophistication. The focus will be on airy dresses in pastel shades, adorned with floral prints, exquisite embroidery, playful ruffles and frills. Lace comes to the forefront, becoming a key element of the spring wardrobe – it can serve as both the main material and a delicate decoration, Buynetskaya emphasized.

"It looks especially striking when lace 'petticoats' peek out from under skirts or sweaters, adding piquancy and layering to the look. The must-have of the season is an accentuated waist, creating a feminine and elegant silhouette. It's relevant in both dresses and jackets," the stylist shared.

Alongside the romantic direction, laconicism and strictness of lines are returning to fashion, noted the interviewee of "Lenta.ru". The basis of stylish looks will be clean silhouettes, monochromatic combinations, and complex cuts without excessive details. The expert recommends paying attention to suits with wide pants and cropped jackets, asymmetrical blouses with architectural cuts, and sheath dresses with geometric cutouts.

"Boho-chic is playing with new force this season. Layering, fringe, ruffles, and macramé are trending. Flared jeans, loose embroidered blouses, and long cardigans plus cowboy boots make an ideal boho look. We're wearing silk scarves with everything, not just in boho style," noted the stylist.

Spring 2025 also revives the aesthetics of the 90s and sports-chic: corsets, denim jackets, and colored denim will return to the fashion Olympus. The stylist advises experimenting with bold combinations: pairing windbreakers with evening skirts, track jackets with classic pants.

"Playing with semi-transparent fabrics reaches new heights. This season, transparency can be both multi-layered and mysterious, as well as revealing. We're wearing blouses and coats made of chiffon and organza, transparent skirts. The main trend is transparent footwear, creating a 'weightlessness' effect," the expert emphasized.

The season's palette will be dominated by brown in all its manifestations, delicate "butter color," pastel tones (mint, lavender, powder pink), as well as white, red, burgundy, and gray. Among the current prints are animal motifs (snake, leopard, zebra, cow), geometric patterns (plaid, stripes, polka dots), and floral compositions from small scatterings to large buds. Special attention should be paid to suede for coats, skirts, and accessories, and satin for evening wear. Leather, transparent fabrics, velvet, and tweed remain in fashion.
