The long daylight hours in July have a noticeable impact not only on biological processes but also on a person's psychological state. Thanks to this, many people feel a surge of energy in the first half of the day and find it easier to cope with complex tasks, said psychologist Elena Shpagina.

As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Gazeta.Ru, the specialist noted that sunlight is the main natural regulator of circadian rhythms. In summer, it suppresses melatonin production more quickly and more actively stimulates cortisol synthesis, which is why waking up becomes easier and the feeling of alertness becomes more pronounced. In addition, the extended daylight hours are psychologically perceived as an additional reserve of time, which helps reduce anxiety levels and improves the ability to concentrate.

According to the expert, the most suitable time for solving complex intellectual tasks comes two to four hours after waking up. During this period, the body reaches an optimal level of activity due to an increase in body temperature, dopamine production, and the effect of bright morning light on brain structures responsible for wakefulness.

Another peak in productivity occurs between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM, when post-lunch drowsiness passes and the body becomes more active again.

The psychologist also recommended not extending the workday simply because it gets dark late in summer. Instead, evening hours are better spent on walks or physical activity, which help relax the nervous system and prepare the body for a full night's sleep.
