Identified Non-Obvious Sign of a Stroke
Usually, ringing or noise in the ears is not a typical sign of stroke, however, in some cases it may indicate acute circulatory disturbance in the brain, neurologist Dmitry Khutorov told "Gazeta.Ru".
"If the noise in the ears appeared suddenly, is accompanied by headache or other suddenly appeared neurological symptoms, has a pulsating character, then one should be wary, especially if hearing is completely lost in one ear. In addition, it's worth paying attention to such atypical symptoms as acute severe headache, double vision, visual field loss, temporary blindness in one eye, different pupil sizes, acute onset of dizziness and unsteadiness, as well as swallowing difficulties," said the doctor.
If you have such symptoms, it's better to see a doctor immediately. Without timely treatment, the pathology can significantly impair brain functions and lead to death.
