Four symptoms of a rare form of diabetes named

Endocrinologist, candidate of medical sciences Natalia Tananakina listed four characteristic signs of a rare disease - latent autoimmune diabetes in adults, also known as LADA diabetes.

As reported by BAKU.WS, in a conversation with "Lenta.ru" she described the symptoms that may indicate this form of diabetes.

According to the specialist, LADA diabetes is often called "type one and a half," since its development mechanism is closer to type one diabetes, while its manifestations are similar to type two. "You can suspect the disease by such signs as quick fatigue, increased thirst, frequent urination, and slight weight loss. In the early stage, glucose levels often remain under control, which masks the development of the pathology. But over time, this indicator becomes unstable," noted Tananakina.

She added that without proper monitoring, the disease can lead to severe complications - diabetic retinopathy and nephropathy, cardiovascular disorders, and damage to the nervous system.
