Diabetes-inducing drink revealed
Nutritionist and endocrinologist Anton Polyakov stated that energy drinks are a serious risk factor for developing diabetes.
As BAKU.WS reports, he shared this in a conversation with aif.ru.
According to the specialist, energy drinks increase productivity due to their high sugar content. In response, the body releases significant amounts of insulin, which first raises blood glucose levels and then leads to their sharp decline.
Polyakov noted that such sharp fluctuations in insulin over time can disrupt carbohydrate metabolism and contribute to the development of diabetes. He also emphasized that there is no safe consumption norm for energy drinks: regular use even in small quantities leads to negative effects.
