Winter Olympics 2026: Azerbaijani alpine skier advances to the next round
Azerbaijani alpine skier Anastasia Papatoma has advanced to the next stage of competition at the XXV Winter Olympic Games.
As reported by BAKU.WS with reference to Oxu.Az, our athlete completed her first run at the competition in the "Tofana" alpine skiing center in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
The 18-year-old slalom skier, who started from the 92nd position, finished in 1 minute 1.81 seconds (1:01:81).
With this result, she currently holds 59th place among 95 participants.

Today, within the framework of the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Italy, Azerbaijan's representative Anastasia Papatoma will compete.
As reported by BAKU.WS, the 18-year-old alpine skier will test her skills in slalom. The competition will take place at Italy's famous ski resort Cortina d'Ampezzo.
As a reminder, earlier our figure skater Vladimir Litvintsev scored 63.63 points in the short program, finished last among 29 participants, and withdrew from the competition.
It should be noted that the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, at which Azerbaijan is represented by two athletes, will conclude on February 22.
