The President of AFFA Rovshan Najaf held a meeting with the head coach of the national team
Today, an important meeting took place between AFFA President Rovshan Najaf and the head coach of the main national team Aykhan Abbasov.
As BAKU.WS reports with reference to the official AFFA website, during the meeting Rovshan Najaf highly praised the specialist's professional work with the U-21 team, and also noted the worthy performance of the national team in the 2026 World Cup qualifier against Ukraine, which ended in a draw (1:1).
The AFFA President held a detailed exchange of views with Aykhan Abbasov regarding the upcoming games of the national team. Rovshan Najaf assured the head coach that the AFFA leadership will continue to provide comprehensive support to both the team and its mentor, and wished the team success in the upcoming matches.
